Your First Visit
At Tranquility, it is our goal to provide a warm and comfortable experience for you.   During your first visit, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out a health history form and to review this with your therapist. This will help the  therapist  know where you are having difficulties, and what areas to focus on.

Upon reviewing your health history, the therapist will leave the room to allow you to undress privately to your comfort level and to get onto the massage table under the sheets.  Remember to remove all jewelry.  The massage will be discreet and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.

Bolsters will help protect your back while lying down and  pillows may be used for additional support as needed.  A face cradle is used in the face down position so work can be done on your neck.  Sometimes you may experience congestion in your sinuses due to this face down  position, but this is usually temporary.

A lightly scented gel, oil or cream will be used for most techniques.  Some may get into your hair so you might want to tie your hair back if it is long.  If you have allergies to oils, please let us know.

Communicate with your therapist about anything that is uncomfortable; such as pressure (too deep/not deep enough), pain, cold room, therapist talking too much?  Do not feel obligated to carry on a conversation while getting a massage. You can relax more if you do not talk and the therapist can concentrate on giving you the best massage possible.

**********
In 1999 I graduated from Seattle Massage School with honors, and now helping others, through the power of massage and Bowenwork has become my passion.
I have been practicing  therapeutic massage for over 10 years and have over 3000+ hours of hands on time. I opened Tranquility in 2004 and absolutely love it here.  Massage is my passion and there is nothing more gratifying than seeing my clients come out of their massage with  relaxed smiles on their faces and their pain and tension relieved.  To see what modalities I practice, click on Services.

As a common courtesy to all our clients, we ask that you do not bring children (unless your
child is within 3 months old) with you during
your appointment.  It is not only difficult for children to sit quietly for long periods, but it also means you do not get the full benefits of your massage, knowing that they are waiting for you.
~Thank you~
